Sizes: Instructions for child size 2; changes for size 4 and size 6 are in [ ].

Materials

• Red Heart Sport fine (sport) weight yarn (2.5 oz/ 240 yds/ 70g per skein): 4 [5, 6] skeins #724 baby pink; 4 [5, 6] skeins #1 white
• Size H/8/ 5mm crochet hook
• Sewing needle
• Sewing thread
• 6 [7, 8] 1/2-inch heart-shaped buttons
• 6 [7, 8] snaps
• Ribbon: 3 yds 1/4-inch; 1 1/4 [ 1 1/2, 1 1/2] yds 5/8-inch

Gauge

23 sts = 7 inches; 13 rows = 4 1/2 inches.

Pattern notes

Always begin and end rows with single crochet stitch.

Color Sequence: For Bodice (Back & Front), Skirt & Sleeves, work in color sequence of 2 rows pink, 2 rows white, repeat throughout, always begin with pink.

Carry unused color up side of piece whenever possible.

Pattern Rows

Row 1: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, [sk next st, 2 sc in next st] across to last 2 sts, sk next st, sc in last st, turn.
