Strawberry Table Set    (Placemat, Doily, Coaster, Napkin Dispenser)

Placemat:
Materials: Cotton Sport Yarn 2 ¼ oz Skeins, 2 white, 1 red, small amt green
Crochet Hook Size D or 3.25 mm
White Embroidery Cotton
Tapestry Needle

With white, ch 54.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Sk first dc (turning ch counts as first st), dc in each dc across, dc in top of
turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Rep row 2 for pattern until piece is 15” from beg. Omit ch-3 at end of last row.
Border:
Rnd 1: With white, sc evenly around all four sides, work 2 sc in each corner. Join and
break off.
Rnds 2-4: Work 1 rnd each red, green and red; sc in each sc around.
Last Rnd: With red, sl st in each st around. Break off.

Strawberry:
With red, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch (5 sc). Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-4: Rep row 2.
Rows 5-6: Work even on 11 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 7: Rep row 2.
Rows 8-11: Work even on 13 sc.
Row 12: Dec 1 sc at beg and end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Row 13: Dec 1 sc at beg of row over first 2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, sl st in each of
next 3 sc; sc in each of next 2 sc, dec 1 sc over last 2 sc. Break off.
Stems: With green, ch 8. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 1, turn, sl
st in each of next 7 sts. Break off.
Leaves: With green, ch 4. Sk first st of ch, then work 1 sc, 1 tr and 1 sc in each of
next 3 ch sts. Break off.
Sew leaf and stem in place on strawberry. With 2 strands of white embroidery cotton
embroider small stitches on strawberry. Sew in place following pic.

Doily:
Materials: Cotton Sport Weight Yarn 2 ¼ oz skeins, 1 white, 1 red, small amt of green
White Embroidery Cotton
Crochet Hook D or 3.25 mm
Tapestry Needle

With white, ch 6.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of ch-3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc at base of ch-3, 2 dc in each dc around, (24 sts). Join with sl st.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, *1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. (36 sts). Join.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Rep from * around. Join.
Rnds 5-8: Work in dc pattern and inc 12 dc evenly spaced (with 1 st more between
each inc). Join and break off. There are 96 dc.
Border:
Rnd 1: With white, sc in each st, inc 12 sts evenly around. Join and break off.
Rnds 2-4: Working 1 rnd each, work red, green and red: Sc in each sc around, inc if
needed to keep work flat.
Rnd 5: With red, sl st in each sc around. Join and break off.
Finishing:
Small Strawberry:
With red, ch 4.
Row 1: Sk first ch, sc in each of next 3 ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-4: Inc 1 sc at beg and end of each row. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 5-6: Work even on 9 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 7: Rep row 3.
Rows 8-9: Work even on 11 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 10: Dec 1 sc over first 2 sc, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, dec 1 sc over last
2 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 11: Dec 1 sc over first 2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, sl st in next sc, sc in each fo
next 2 sc, dec 1 sc over last 2 sc. Break off.
Stem:
With green, ch 5.
Row 1: Sk first ch st, sl st in each of next 4 ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sl st in each st across. Break off.
Leaves:
With green, ch 4. Sk first ch st, then work 1 sc 1 tr and 1 sc in each of next 3 ch.
Break off Sew leaves and stem to strawberry.
Finishing:
Embroider short stitches, using white on strawberry. Sew in place using pic.

Coaster:
Materials: Cotton Sport Yarn2 ¼ oz skeins, 1 white, small amt red and green.
Crochet Hook Size D or 3.25 mm

Back:
With white, ch 6. Join with sl st in first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top of ch-3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc at base of ch-3, 2 dc in each dc around. (24 sts). Join with sl st.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, * 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * around. (36 sts). Join.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each fo next 2 dc. Rep from * around. Join and
break off.
Front:
Worked in 2 pieces.
First Piece:
With white, ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring.
Row 1: Ch 3, work 5 dc in ring.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn; dc in first dc, 2 dc in each dc, 2 dc in top of turning ch.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * across.
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Rep from * across. (24
sts). Break off.
Second Piece:
Work same as for first piece.
Finishing:
Joining: Hold both pieces of front on top of back, with opening in center.
Border:
Rnd 1: With white, sc around through both thicknesses and at same time, inc 12 sts
evenly around. Break off.
Rnds 2-4: Working 1 rnd each, work red, green and red: Sc in each sc around, inc if
needed to keep work flat.
Rnd 5: With red, sl st in each sc around. Join and break off.

Napkin Dispenser

Materials: Cotton Sport Weight Yarn 2 ¼ oz Skeins, 2 White, 1 Red, Small Amt Green
Crochet Hook Size D or 3.25
Tapestry Hook

Dispenser:
With white, ch 46.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Sk first dc (turning ch counts as first st), dc in each dc across, dc in top of
turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Rep row 2 for pattern until piece is 18”. Break off.
Finishing:
Border:
Work across both short sides only. Work all rows from ring side of work.
Rows 1-3: Working 1 row each, work red, green and red: Sc in each st across. Break
off.
Last Row: With red, sl st in each st across. Break off. Fold Dispenser in half, with
right side on the inside, leaving opening in center front. Sew side seams, turn to right
side. Attach strawberry as shown in pic.
Strawberry:
With red, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch (5 sc). Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-4: Rep row 2.
Rows 5-6: Work even on 11 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 7: Rep row 2.
Row 8-11: Work even on 13 sc.
Row 12: Dec 1 sc at beg and end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Row 13: Dec 1 sc at beg of row over first 2 sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, sl st in each of
next 3 sc, sc in each next 2 sc, dec 1 sc over last 2 sc. Break off.
Stem:
With green, ch 8. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch: ch 1, turn, sl st in
each of next 7 sts. Break off.
Leaves:
With green, ch 4. Skip first st of ch, then work 1 sc, 1 tr, 1 sc in each of next 3 ch sts.
Break off.
Sew leaf and stem in place on strawberry. With 2 strands white embroider small
stitches on strawberry. Sew in place following pic.
