Size: 8 1/2″ long without ribbon
Materials:

Size 10 crochet cotton thread:

15 yds, white
8 yds, pink
8 yds, green
5 yds, yellow

8″ of 1/8″ ribbon
No 5 steel hook or hook size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Each flower is 2″ across
Basic Stitches: Ch, sl st, sc
Special Stitch
For cluster, yo 2 times, insert hook in st, yo, pull through, (yo, pull through 2 lps on hook) 2 times, yo 2 times, insert hook in same st, yo, pull through, (yo, pull through 2 lps on hook) 2 times, yo, pull through all lps on hook.

Bookmark
First Flower
Rnd 1: With white, ch 3, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off (12 sc made)
Rnd 2: Join pink with sl st in any st, (ch 4, sl st) in same st as first sl st (petal made), ch 2, skip next st, *(sl st, ch 4, cluster, ch 4, sl st) in next st, ch 2, skip next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sl st. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join white with sc in any ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, *& sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, repeat from * around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.

Second Flower
Rnds 1-2: Repeat rnds 1 & 2 of First flower using white and green.
Rnd 3: Join white with sc in any ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, * sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, repeat from * 2 more times; for joining, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in top of next petal, ch 1, drop lp from hook, insert hook in corresponding ch-2 at top of last flower made, pull dropped lp through, ch 1, sc in same ch sp as last sc made on this flower, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in top of next petal, ch 1, drop lp from hook, insert hook in next ch-2 at top of last flower made, pull dropped lp through, ch 1, sc in same ch sp as last sc, made on this flower (joining completed), ch 4, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.

Third flower
Rnds 1-2: Repeat rnds 1-2 of first flower using white and yellow.
Rnd 3: Join white with sc in any ch-2 sp, ch 4, [sc, ch 2, sc] in top of next petal, ch 4, * sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4 (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, repeat from * 2 more times; work joining, ch 4, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.

Fourth Flower
Work same as second flower
Fifth Flower
Rnds 1-2: Repeat rnds 1 & 2 of first flower.
Rnd 3: Join white with sc in any ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, *sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, (sc, ch 2, sc) in top of next petal, ch 4, repeat from * 2 more times; work joining, ch 4, join with sl st in first sc. fasten off.
Fold ribbon to half. Insert fold in ch-2 sp at bottom on one end of Bookmark, pull ends through fold, pull to tighten.

Materials:

Size 10 crochet cotton thread: 20 yds, blue. 15 yds, white. 10 yds, red.
No. 8 steel hook

Gauge: 9 sc = 1″‘ 9 sc rows = 1″
Basic Stitches
Ch, sc
Notes:
For changing color, drop first color to wrong side of work, pick up next color, do not carry dropped color along back of work. Always change color in last st made.
Wind separate balls of thread as needed. Fasten off each color when no longer needed.

Bookmark
Row 1: With blue, ch 18 sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (17 sc made)
Row 2: CH 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 3: CH 1, sc in first 3 sts changing to white in last st made, sc in next st changing to white, sc in next st changing to blue, sc in next st changing to blue, sc in each st across, turn.
Rows 4-58: Ch 1, sc in each st across changing colors according to graph on, turn.
Row 59, Ch 1, sc in first 8 sts, ch 15, sc in 11th ch from hook, sc in last 4 ch2 (loop made), sc in last 8 sts on row 58. Fasten off.
For fringe, cut three 10″ strands of each color. Hold all strands together; fold in half, insert hook in lopp, pull fold through loop, pull ends through fold, tighten. Trim ends.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Sl st to join each rnd in top of beg st. 5-dc cl: [Yo hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 5 times, yo, draw through all 6 lps on hook.
Beg 5-dc cl: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), (yo hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 4 times, yo, draw through all 5 lps on hook.

First Motif

Rnd 2: Ch 1, [3 sc, ch 3, 3sc] in each ch-6 sp around, join in beg sc, fasten off.
